Introduction to "Fun and Feminine"

Hi Everyone!

Summer break is over now, and my school started back last Monday. I'll have to say that seventh is a step up from sixth grade. It is difficult, but I believe I'll make it through. I really enjoyed doing the "Out of This World Girl" posts. It was a blessing to me, but Madelyn asked me if I would like to keep writing, and I said, "Yes!"

At first I wasn't sure what I wanted to specifically write about, but I did decide to do sort of a spin-off from the "Out of This World Girl" posts. Do y'all remember the "Fun and Feminine" section at the end of my other posts? Well, I decided that I would like to write "Fun and Feminine" posts for now! I will basically have a few ideas for each post. For example, maybe a crafty way to fix a t-shirt or a fun idea on hair or for your nails. Something that is fun, feminine, and modest!

I will give ideas for how we can show the love of Jesus in our actions, too, as in some thoughtful ways we can brighten someone's day. If you would like, go to one of the "Out of This World Girl" posts, scroll down closer to the bottom. This might give you an idea of what the posts might be like. Thanks for reading. I hope to share the first "Fun and Feminine" post soon!

Thinking, Laughing, Listening...

What have y'all been up to? I've been...

Thinking...about this verse.

"Be still in the presence of the Lord,
and wait patiently for him to act.
Don't worry about evil people who prosper
or fret about their wicked schemes."

Reeling from...last night's ah-maz-ing episode of My Big Family Renovation.

Laughing...that was caused by this oh-so-awesome joke. ;) the b-e-s-t radio station. I love K-Love. ;)

Enjoying...this cooler weather.

What are you thinking/reeling from/laughing/listening/enjoying?

Friday Favorites | Sisters, Books, and Verses.

Happy Friday! I'm having a great day so far...I'm listening to K-Love and drinking coffee. *happy sigh* Livin' the dream. ;) We started school last Monday and it's going well. :) I love homeschooling.

My "Friday Favorites" this week are...

These girls. I don't know what I'd do without 'em. <3

Duck Dynasty. Best. Show. Ever. I laugh so hard during it the abs I don't have hurt. :P

The book "The Giver." Such a great read! The movie is going to be in movie theaters on August 15th. Yay!

Jen Hatmaker's book 7. I'm halfway through and loving every word. I love reading her blog so I went ahead and got this book last week. She is hilarious! {By the way, I watched her show "My Big Family Renovation" last night and I loved it! Fantastic show. That is all. Carry on with your scheduled reading.}

This verse. Wow, oh, wow. I've loved this verse for so long. It's such an amazing reminder. :)

That sums up my "Friday Favorites" this  week! I hope your day is terrific! :)

TNH | Verses, Dad's Shop, & Dirt

If you're reading this, then hopefully you weren't too fazed by my last post...I'm so glad because I love having you read it. :) I forgot to mention in my last post that I will start being a little more personal with my posts. My life isn't super exciting but maybe it will be interesting enough to hold your attention. :)

If you read the post "Blessings", that I wrote a month or so ago, then you know that we've been working on our new house for awhile. Guess what? I have pictures! Yippee! :)

Throughout the house, we have written Bible verses on the floor to "bless" the house. It's been so much fun doing this! :)

I *love* these verses!

Last Friday and Saturday, a family friend graciously let Dad borrow his Bobcat to smooth out the dirt that was in a pile in the front. After they were done, all three of us sat in the bucket of the's hard to tell who had more fun-us or Dad. ;)

Sydney was snapping pictures the whole time. She got a lot of good ones. :)

This is what Dad's shop looked like a week ago. Incomplete. It is done now. It is huge. It. Is. Awesome.

There ya have it. Recent pictures of TNH (the new house). Oh! Have I mentioned that we've painted the walls, got someone to install the lights inside and outside, and (hopefully) next week my Uncle is coming to finish the cabinets? So. Much. Joy. Before long, the floors and appliances will be installed. Thank you, Lord! Everything is finally coming together. :)

~Wait patiently for the Lord.
    Be brave and courageous.
Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.
